Refund Policy
Last updated: 22 April 2026. Applies only to paid Pro subscriptions — the Free tier has no charges to refund.
1. 14-day money-back guarantee
Every new Pro subscription comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. If you decide Pro isn't for you within 14 days of your first payment, request a full refund and we'll process it. This is our policy globally — not just for EU/UK residents who have this right by law.
2. Beyond 14 days — when refunds apply
After the 14-day window, we refund in these cases:
- Duplicate charges — you were billed twice for the same period by mistake. Full refund.
- Billing errors — wrong amount, wrong currency conversion, charged after cancellation. Full refund of the error amount.
- Extended service outage — if basudrus.com has been unavailable for more than 48 consecutive hours during a billing period. Pro-rated refund for the affected days.
- Unauthorized charge — someone used your card without permission. We work with Paddle to refund and investigate.
- Account closure you didn't request — if we had to suspend your account for a reason not your fault. Pro-rated refund.
3. When refunds do NOT apply
We generally do not refund:
- Change of mind after 14 days — we let you cancel anytime and keep access through the end of your paid month; no additional refund is issued for the unused portion.
- Partial-month usage after the 14-day window — Pro is billed monthly; if you cancel on day 20, you keep access through day 30 but don't get days 20–30 refunded.
- Inability to use AI features due to rate limits documented on the pricing page — those are published upfront.
- Violation-based suspensions — if we ban your account for breaking our Terms of Service, no refund is issued.
4. How to request a refund
Email basudrusjo@gmail.com with:
- The email address on your Bas Udrus account.
- The date of the charge (check your card statement or your Paddle receipt).
- A one-line reason (helps us improve; not required for 14-day claims).
We respond within 2 working days. If we approve the refund, Paddle executes it — the money returns to your original payment method within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
5. EU / UK 14-day right of withdrawal
If you reside in the EU/UK/EEA, you have an independent statutory right to withdraw from a digital subscription contract within 14 days of purchase without reason. This right coexists with the guarantee in §1 above and is processed the same way.
To exercise it you may use any clear statement — email is fine. Standard EU model withdrawal form is not required but we accept it: "I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract of sale of the Pro subscription, ordered on [date], with order ID [id]."
6. Paddle is our Merchant of Record
All Pro payments are processed by Paddle. Paddle is the seller of record for your purchase, collects tax (VAT/sales tax), and issues your invoice. If you email Bas Udrus directly we handle your refund; you can also contact Paddle buyer support at help@paddle.com with your Paddle order ID from the receipt email.
7. Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge directly with your bank instead of contacting us, your bank's chargeback process is triggered and typically resolves in 30–90 days. Please email us first — we almost always refund faster than a chargeback resolves.
